World’s first human head transplant successfully carried out

The world’s first human head transplant has been carried out on a corpse in China in an 18-hour operation that showed it was possible to successfully reconnect the spine, nerves and blood vessels.

At a press conference in Vienna on Friday morning, Italian Professor Sergio Canavero, director of the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group, announced that a team at Harbin Medical University had “realised the first human head transplant” and said an operation on a live human will take place “imminently”.

The operation was carried out by a team led by Dr Xiaoping Ren, who last year successfully grafted a head onto the body of a monkey.

Prof Canavero, said: “The first human transplant on human cadavers has been done. A full head swap between brain dead organ donors is the next stage.

"I've Been Banned From Facebook For Sharing An Article About False Flags"

Caitlin Johnstone via Medium

My personal Facebook account, which has the maximum 5,000 friends and an additional 5,000+ followers, has been blocked from posting for three days.

My page hasn’t been blocked yet, but we’ll see; I shared the article there, too.
The reason given for this ban by the little pop-up boxes when I logged on just now was that a couple months ago I had shared an article about admitted false flag operations perpetrated by governments around the world.

I don’t know what happened that made Facebook’s system decide to crack down on me now all of a sudden, but I do know I’ve been a bit naughtier than usual in my last couple of articles.

The article I got the banhammer for sharing is titled For Those Who Don’t ‘Believe’ In ‘Conspiracies’ Here Are 58 Admitted False Flag Attacks.

According to the site’s ticker it has 50,667 shares as of this writing. It’s laden with hyperlinks for further reading, and lists only instances of false flag operations that insiders are on the record as having admitted to themselves. It’s a good compilation of important information. People should be allowed to share it.

The notifications say I can be permanently banned if I continue posting that sort of material. I’ve had that account since 2007.

So. Who wants to see my Barbra Streisand impression?

Historic US bill would outlaw Israel aid used to abuse children

The Electronic Intifada
Nora Barrows-Friedman

Ten members of Congress are cosponsoring a bill to bar the US from financially supporting human rights abuses of Palestinian children by the Israeli military.

The Promoting Human Rights by Ending Military Detention of Palestinian Children Act, introduced on Tuesday, is the first ever bill to prioritize the human rights of Palestinian children as a condition for US support, according to campaigners.

The bill requires the Secretary of State to annually certify that no US funds allocated to Israel will have been used to “support military detention, interrogation, abuse, or ill-treatment of Palestinian children.”

The legislation would block funds used by Israel to inflict “torture or cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment,” “physical violence, including restraint in stress positions,” “hooding, sensory deprivation, death threats or other forms of psychological abuse.”

It would also target solitary confinement, administrative detention, denial of access to parents or lawyers during interrogations and “confessions obtained by force or coercion.”

“It’s an unprecedented bill,” said Jennifer Bing, an advocate for Palestinian children’s rights who directs the American Friends Service Committee’s Middle East program.

“There’s never been a piece of legislation in Congress that says we need to hold Israel accountable for the aid dollars it receives from US taxpayers,” she told The Electronic Intifada.

Bing said that this is a critical opportunity for constituents to advocate for their representatives to support the bill.

As Russian MoD releases evidence of US military cooperation with ISIS, Lavrov slams illegal US presence in Syria

Adam Garrie
The Duran

This is Russia's strongest statement to-date, admonishing the illegal US presence in Syria.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has slammed the US for its presence in Syria being not only illegal, but deeply counterproductive.

Lavrov also highlighted a statement from the Russian Defence Ministry which unequivocally accuses (with accompanying photographic evidence) the US of failing to target ISIS fighters in Syria while allowing them safe passage away from oncoming Syrian Arab Army liberators.

Syria has repeatedly stated, including at the United Nations, that US troops and airmen in Syria are not actually fighting ISIS but are merely playing an obstructionist role to the inevitable Syrian victory, one which includes the arming and financing of terrorist groups.

Russia's latest statements back up these crucial long-time claims by Damascus.

A statement from the Russian Defence Ministry reads,
"The US side categorically refused to carry out airstrikes against Daesh terrorists, claiming that the militants were 'voluntarily surrendering' and now fell under the provisions of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War."

Plague Fears Grow As New Virus With No Cure Appears: "This Is Worse Than The 'Black Death'"

Zero Hedge

Malawi is bracing itself for an outbreak of the plague after the Daily Mail reports that deadly disease continues to spread across the island nation of Madagascar. At least 143 people have died and more than 2,000 others have been infected in Madagascar since an outbreak in early August this year which has now spread to its 10th African nation.

Malawi's health secretary confirmed the country is ready for any reported cases of the disease amid mounting concerns of Africa's 'porous borders'.

He said: 'We have infection prevention materials ready and groups and teams ready to be activated if there is a trigger.'

South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, Tanzania, La RĂ©union, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia and Comoros have all been warned they could be at risk from a possible outbreak as well...

The strain can be cured with antibiotics and the WHO money will go towards paying for extra medical personnel, the disinfection of buildings and fuel for ambulances.

Cases have risen by eight per cent in just the space of one week and scientists are now working hard to ensure the disease does not spread from Madagascar to mainland Africa.

Health expert Professor Jimmy Whitworth described the current outbreak as the 'worst in 50 years or more'.

But as's Mac Slavo notes, a new virus for which medical officials have no remedy is spreading. The infectious disease also has a fatality rate of almost 90% making it much more deadly than the black death plaguing Madagascar.

Remembrance: "To remember so much more"

Tim Hayward
Tim Hayward Wordpress

It is customary in my country, on Remembrance Day, to wear a red poppy to commemorate the fallen in war, with donations channeled to dependants and veterans. To observe remembrance is a mark of respect. For many, it is also an expression of gratitude.

Some people, however, decline to observe the tradition, on principle. They may believe that war should be lamented, not tacitly condoned. Some will stress that not only on active service are people killed or harmed in wars. Many children, women and men are innocent victims of the combatants commemorated with poppies. Celebrating the poppy could look like acquiescing in a deceptive idea of war as a noble activity allegedly in service of a free and democratic society.

As for poppy revenues to support the survivors, surely anyone who sacrifices life, limb, or family provider, for the sake of their country, is owed much more than a token donation once a year.

Although I choose not to wear a poppy for a cluster of reasons like those, I would not criticise others who do wear one, or try to persuade them not to. What does seem to me a fitting response to Remembrance Day is to seek to widen our horizons and to remember so much more.

Yet the scale and depth of the horrors of war being perpetrated around the world, and in so many places - relentlessly continuing even in the very moment you read and I write this - defy human imagination. Each and every one of the inumerable lives lost is of a person like you or me, or any of our loved ones.

In the moments of quiet reflection, as symbolised by our two minutes collective silence each year, each of us will be drawn into our own more personal remembrance.

My twentieth century forbears who suffered and died for the cause of war are remembered now as relatively distant victims of that evil racket. I feel today more keenly the pain of those whose loved ones were so lately ripped from them.

For they shall grow not old as we that are left grow old.

Hollywood wracked by chaos in aftermath of sex scandals

Veronique Dupont
Yahoo News

Projects are shelved, film releases cancelled, sets shuttered, studios threatened, the Oscars rattled -- this is the chaos confronting Hollywood following sex scandals that have brought down power players like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Brett Ratner.

In the month since The New Yorker and The New York Times published allegations of serial predatory behavior by producer Weinstein -- some 100 women have now accused him of misconduct ranging from harassment to rape -- people who said they had been victimized have felt emboldened to voice allegations against men who had been seen as untouchable.

Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, and Ratner, a blockbuster director, have also been accused of sexual transgressions, while other actors, managers and agents are in the hot seat as well.

"Who's next?" the Los Angeles Times asked on Sunday.

"There's been scandals in Hollywood since the silent movie age but it was one person or one incident," said Tim Gray, an editor at the entertainment trade magazine Variety.

"I've been at Variety for 30 years, I've never seen something like this," he said.

Every project linked to The Weinstein Company, co-founded by Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob, is now toxic, whereas a few months ago such a relationship was a mark of prestige.

Famed director Oliver Stone, who initially defended Weinstein, has withdrawn from the Guantanamo television series that they had been collaborating on.

The first Weinstein Company film to come out following the scandal, Amityville: The Awakening, brought in a measly $742 in its one-day theatrical release, according to Box Office Mojo.

Weinstein's company, already weakened by a series of flops, is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Other powerful studios find themselves in turmoil, such the entertainment arm of internet giant Amazon, whose chairman Roy Price resigned last month after he was suspended following an accusation of sexual harassment.

Price's ouster contributed to the collapse of an untitled David O. Russell drama series, set to star Oscar winners Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore, which had been a co-production with The Weinstein Company.

"(With) the Weinstein debacle and another issue at Amazon, everyone kind of walked away and torpedoed it," Moore said in an interview.

A screenwriter who had been working for months on a serial for Amazon told AFP the project has lost momentum.

The attack on alternative media is being done under cover of an attack on "fake news"

Dave Lindorff

As the author of an article labeled "pro-Russia propaganda," I can testify that unorthodox views are under attack

These are tough days to be a serious journalist. Report a story now, with your facts all lined up nicely, and you're still likely to have it labeled "fake news" by anyone whose ox you've gored - and even by friends who don't share your political perspective. For good measure, they'll say you've based it on "alternative facts."

Historians say the term "fake news" dates from the late 19th-century era of "yellow journalism," but the term really took off in 2016, a little over a year ago, during Donald Trump's run for the presidency. It described several different things, from fact-free, pro-Trump online media to sensationalistic and largely untrue stories whose only goal was eyeballs and dollars. During the primary season, Trump himself began labeling all mainstream media stories about him as "fake news." The idea that there could be different truths, while dating at least back to the administration of President George W. Bush, when his consigliere Karl Rove claimed that the administration "made its own" reality, gained currency when Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, caught making stuff up in a TV interview, claimed that she was relying on "alternative facts."

That dodge would be fine, on its own. Most people are primed to believe that politicians lie - whatever party or persuasion they represent - so their attempts to deny it when called a conjurer of falsehoods posing tend to be recognized as such.

The corporate media - The New York Times, The Washington Post, the network news programs and even National Public Radio - have all responded to being called liars and "fake news" fabricators by promoting themselves as "the reality-based community" (NPR), or claiming they are fighting the good fight against ignorance, as demonstrated by the Post's new masthead slogan "Democracy dies in darkness." The Times has stuck with its hoary "All the news that's fit to print" slogan, but has added a page-three daily feature listing "noteworthy facts from today's paper" and has taken to calling out Trump administration whoppers as "lies."

Last December Congress passed a new law, promptly signed by then-President Barack Obama, that enacted an Orwellian amendment to the Defense Authorization Act of 2017. Called the Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act, this measure tasks the State Department, in consultation with the Department of Defense, the director of national intelligence and an obscure government propaganda organization called the Broadcasting Board of Governors, to establish a "Center for Information Analysis and Response." The job of this new center, funded by a $160 million, two-year budget allocation, would be to collect information on "foreign propaganda and disinformation efforts" and "proactively advance fact-based narratives that support United States allies and interests."

WikiLeaks Publishes CIA Hacking Tool Designed To "Impersonate" Russia's Kaspersky Lab

Zero Hedge

On September 18th, the US Senate voted to ban the use of products from the Moscow-based cyber security firm Kaspersky Lab by the federal government, citing national security risk. The vote was included as an amendment to an annual defense policy spending bill approved by the Senate on the same day and was written to bar the use of Kaspersky Lab software in government civilian and military agencies.

Alas, according to a new revelation from WikiLeaks this morning, any perceived "national security risk" from Kaspersky could have resulted from the fact that the CIA specifically designed hacking software, code-named 'Hive', which intentionally "impersonated" the Russian cyber security firm so that "if the target organization looks at the network traffic coming out of its network, it is likely to misattribute the CIA exfiltration of data to uninvolved entities whose identities have been impersonated."

Here's a summary of the hacking tool posted by WikiLeaks:
Today, 9 November 2017, WikiLeaks publishes the source code and development logs to Hive, a major component of the CIA infrastructure to control its malware.

Hive solves a critical problem for the malware operators at the CIA. Even the most sophisticated malware implant on a target computer is useless if there is no way for it to communicate with its operators in a secure manner that does not draw attention. Using Hive even if an implant is discovered on a target computer, attributing it to the CIA is difficult by just looking at the communication of the malware with other servers on the internet. Hive provides a covert communications platform for a whole range of CIA malware to send exfiltrated information to CIA servers and to receive new instructions from operators at the CIA.

The cover domain delivers 'innocent' content if somebody browses it by chance. A visitor will not suspect that it is anything else but a normal website. The only peculiarity is not visible to non-technical users - a HTTPS server option that is not widely used: Optional Client Authentication. But Hive uses the uncommon Optional Client Authentication so that the user browsing the website is not required to authenticate - it is optional. But implants talking to Hive do authenticate themselves and can therefore be detected by the Blot server. Traffic from implants is sent to an implant operator management gateway called Honeycomb (see graphic above) while all other traffic go to a cover server that delivers the insuspicious content for all other users.

Digital certificates for the authentication of implants are generated by the CIA impersonating existing entities. The three examples included in the source code build a fake certificate for the anti-virus company Kaspersky Laboratory, Moscow pretending to be signed by Thawte Premium Server CA, Cape Town. In this way, if the target organization looks at the network traffic coming out of its network, it is likely to misattribute the CIA exfiltration of data to uninvolved entities whose identities have been impersonated.

Leaked Secret Cable Confirms Israel Conspiring with Saudi Arabia to Provoke War

Matt Agorist
The Free Thought Project

In what can be referred to as a smoking gun, on Tuesday, Israeli News Channel 10 published a leaked diplomatic cable confirming a long-running ‘conspiracy theory’ of Israeli-Saudi coordination to provoke war.

As ZH reports, the cable was sent to all Israeli ambassadors throughout the world concerning the chaotic events that unfolded over the weekend in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, which began with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s unexpected resignation after he was summoned to Riyadh by his Saudi-backers, and led to the Saudis announcing that Lebanon had “declared war” against the kingdom.
The classified embassy cable, written in Hebrew, constitutes the first formal evidence proving that the Saudis and Israelis are deliberately coordinating to escalate the situation in the Middle East.
As ZH notes, the explosive classified Israeli cable reveals the following:

  • On Sunday, just after Lebanese PM Hariri’s shocking resignation, Israel sent a cable to all of its embassies with the request that its diplomats do everything possible to ramp up diplomatic pressure against Hezbollah and Iran.
  • The cable urged support for Saudi Arabia’s war against Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.
  • The cable stressed that Iran was engaged in “regional subversion”.
  • Israeli diplomats were urged to appeal to the “highest officials” within their host countries to attempt to expel Hezbollah from Lebanese government and politics.

UN rapporteur for human rights urges sanctions on Israel for driving Palestinians 'back to the dark ages' (VIDEO)

Philip Weiss

Last week there was a significant development in the international response to the Israeli occupation when the UN rapporteur for human rights in the occupied territories came out with a harsh report saying the world was too passive about the occupation. The "duration of this occupation is without precedent or parallel in today's world," the report said. Israel has "driven Gaza back to the dark ages" due to denial of water and electricity and freedom of movement. There is a "darkening stain" on the world's legal framework because other countries have treated the occupation as normal, and done nothing to resist Israel's "colonial ambition par excellence," which includes two sets of laws for Israelis and Palestinians.

At a press conference about his report, S. Michael Lynk, a Canadian professor of law and human rights expert, said it is time the international community reach into its "toolbox" of enforcement mechanisms, so as to "raise the stakes" against the occupation and change international "opinion" of Israel. The country had been worried by the Goldstone Report in 2009 and is today worried by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS), Lynk said; so if the international community took "unified actions on an escalating basis" to declare the occupation illegal and demand Israel's withdrawal, Israel would respond.
That means sanctions.
Israel is very dependent upon trade with the outside world, it's very dependent upon its market with the United States, it's very dependent upon its market with Europe. If there was an understanding that all of a sudden Israelis wanting to travel abroad needed to have visas, if all of a sudden Israel wasn't going to get preferential trading agreements with the EU. If all of a sudden, the many and multitude of forms of military or economic cooperation or academic cooperation with Israel were now going to come to an end as long as Israel continued that, I think you'd begin to see a sea-change in the attitude of ordinary Israelis and in the attitude of the Israeli government.... Every journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step.
"I didn't use the word boycott," Lynk said in the press conference, though he called for a refusal to purchase settlement goods.

He got an immediate reaction. US ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley on Friday said that the U.S. was "deeply disturbed" by Lynk's report and by his support for "economic and academic boycott" of Israel. The Jerusalem Post turned on Lynk for seeking to turn Israel into a "pariah state" (don't worry, it's happening on its own).

Manhattan attack wouldn't have happened if CIA ‘spent less time’ arming terrorists – Assange

WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange slammed the CIA, saying the deadly terrorist attack in New York overnight might not have happened if the agency investigated terrorists instead of training and arming them.

“If the CIA spent more time investigating terrorists and less time training and arming them we might not have had today’s truck attack in New York,” the whistleblower tweeted following the attack in lower Manhattan that left eight people dead and a dozen injured on Tuesday.

Body of tragic Iraq weapons inspector Dr David Kelly mysteriously EXHUMED 14 years after 'sexed up' dossier controversy

The Mirror UK

The body of Iraq weapons inspector Dr David Kelly has been mysteriously exhumed, it emerged last night.

Dr Kelly was found dead in 2003, days after being grilled by a Parliamentary committee about his contact with journalists.

He was buried in a churchyard near his home in Oxfordshire.

But a few months ago, his remains were exhumed at the request of his family, Thames Valley Police said.

According to the Hutton inquiry, Dr Kelly took his own life by overdosing on painkillers and cutting his wrist with a knife.

However, doubts about the suicide verdict have persisted ever since.

Dr Kelly was caught up in the scandal surrounding the Blair government's notorious 'sexed up' dossier which claimed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction capable of being launched within 45 minutes.

In 2003, the 59-year-old scientist admitted to BBC journalist Andrew Gilligan he had been concerned by those claims in an off-the-record conversation.

Gilligan's reporting of the story led to Dr Kelly being identified - with some claiming Blair's government leaked his name intentionally.

Dr Kelly came under extreme pressure during questioning before a Select Committee.

In July 2003, he was reported missing after telling his wife he was going for a walk.

His body was found in woodland near his home in Oxfordshire the next morning.

Many still believe his death should be investigated with a full inquest.

According to the Sun on Sunday, Dr Kelly's remains may have been moved because of 'unwelcome attention' from campaigners at the gravesite.

Former Qatari PM publicly admits to collusion and coordination between 4 countries, led by US, to destabilize Syria and support terrorists

Tyler Durden
Zero Hedge

A television interview of a top Qatari official confessing the truth behind the origins of the war in Syria is going viral across Arabic social media during the same week a leaked top secret NSA document was published which confirms that the armed opposition in Syria was under the direct command of foreign governments from the early years of the conflict. And according to a well-known Syria analyst and economic adviser with close contacts in the Syrian government, the explosive interview constitutes a high level "public admission to collusion and coordination between four countries to destabilize an independent state, [including] possible support for Nusra/al-Qaeda."Importantly, "this admission will help build case for what Damascus sees as an attack on its security & sovereignty. It will form basis for compensation claims."

As the war in Syria continues slowly winding down, it seems new source material comes out on an almost a weekly basis in the form of testimonials of top officials involved in destabilizing Syria, and even occasional leaked emails and documents which further detail covert regime change operations against the Assad government. Though much of this content serves to confirm what has already long been known by those who have never accepted the simplistic propaganda which has dominated mainstream media, details continue to fall in place, providing future historians with a clearer picture of the true nature of the war.

This process of clarity has been aided - as predicted - by the continued infighting among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) former allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with each side accusing the other of funding Islamic State and al-Qaeda terrorists (ironically, both true). Increasingly, the world watches as more dirty laundry is aired and the GCC implodes after years of nearly all the gulf monarchies funding jihadist movements in places like Syria, Iraq, and Libya.

The top Qatari official is no less than former Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani, who oversaw Syria operations on behalf of Qatar until 2013 (also as foreign minister), and is seen below with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in this Jan. 2010 photo (as a reminder, Qatar's 2022 World Cup Committee donated $500,000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2014).

Comment: My sense is that Feldman is going to have to go very, VERY carefully. If he does get the $10 million he is looking for it may be at an enormous cost to his health and safety. I think scaling down his aspirations; putting in place all manner of contingency measures and taking a more modest route is far preferable than running headlong into the beast which isn't about to allow the kind of vision he has in mind to gain traction. So, many ways this can fail, especially when big bucks are in the mix. He needs some very cool heads to advise him.

Corey Feldman

Corey Feldman has created a new INDIGOGO campaign, but this time its not to raise $ for an album, or tour, but it is about something much more important. Corey is attempting to make his life story into a Major Motion Picture. His idea was created in response to the tens of thousands of comments he receives urging him to come forward with details about his abusers while growing up as a child in the industry. The plan is simple, donate now, get the answers you seek, while affording him the ability to protect his family, and cover the legal costs while he prepares to take a stand against the sick and twisted power mongers in the world of Entertainment and beyond. US Now Admits Syrian "Rebels" Have Used Chemical Weapons

Zero Hedge

From the first moment chemical weapons were used on the Syrian battlefield, the American public was led to believe that only one side could possibly be responsible. The constant refrain in the echo chamber of US government officials and the mainstream media was that only the Assad government possessed chemical stockpiles and the technological capability of deploying such heinous weapons, therefore blame for each and every chemical attack from Ghouta to Khan Sheikhoun was laid at the feet of Assad and the Syrian military.

And yet last Wednesday, for the first time, the US State Department casually dropped an important admission into its official Syria travel warning for American citizens: that the core rebel group currently operating in northwest Syria not only possesses but has used chemical weapons - to the point that the State Department considers it a major enough threat to publicly warn citizens about.

The armed opposition group, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is referenced early in the document:

"Terrorist and other violent extremist groups including ISIS and Al-Qaeda linked Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham [dominated by Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat Al-Nusra, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization], operate in Syria.” HTS is the group now holding Idlib province, which it captured in 2015 as part of a coalition of armed groups given direct support from a US-led operations room in southern Turkey - this according to prominent pro-opposition analyst Charles Lister.

Council on Foreign Relations calls for COINTELPRO-style actions against Americans who hold "unacceptable views"

Kurt Nimmo

Foreign Policy, the house organ of the Council on Foreign Relations, has reposted an article by Daniel Byman, a government insider and senior fellow at the Brookings Institute. Byman's article, Should we treat domestic terrorists the way we treat ISIS?: What works-and what doesn't, calls for a police and surveillance state focus on domestic "rightwing terrorist" individuals and organizations.

Byman's point of departure is Stephen Paddock, the millionaire accused of killing 58 people attending and country and western festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. The government has yet to establish a political or religious motive for the attack, and yet Byman writes Paddock fits "a stereotype of a right-wing terrorist more than a jihadist one."

From there Byman conflates Paddock's alleged violence with that of James Alex Fields Jr., the "white supremacist" who drove a car into a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville. "Fields' use of a car to drive through a crowd resembles nothing more than the vehicle attacks that we've seen in Barcelona, Berlin, London, Nice, and other cities in the past two years," Byman argues.

From there Byman wanders far afield. He pairs the 2015 attack on a Planned Parenthood Clinic and a black church in Charleston to the sniper attack in Las Vegas. He argues the government should treat domestic terrorism incidents the same way it treats attacks by the Islamic State.

"It is all well and good to label left- and right-wing violence at home as terrorism, but what if the U.S. government went beyond rhetoric and truly treated these groups as it treats Americans suspected of being involved with jihadist organizations like ISIS?" he writes.

Byman has a solution for "deplorable" activism falling outside the parameters of "legitimate mainstream" protest - establish "new rules" to neutralize Americans who hold unacceptable political views. "Treating domestic groups the way we do American individuals tied to designated foreign groups would make a profound difference," he writes.

An Al Jazeera Reporter Went Undercover with the Pro-Israel Lobby In Washington

The Intercept

Britain’s broadcasting regulator on Monday concluded that Al Jazeera did not violate any rules in its controversial undercover investigation exposing the Israeli embassy’s campaign to target British citizens critical of Israel, a campaign that included attempts to destroy the careers of pro-Palestinian British politicians.

The move by the communications regulator, known as Ofcom, clears the way for a follow-up documentary focused on Israeli influence in the United States, the existence of which has previously been suspected but had yet to be made public. Clayton Swisher, director of investigative journalism for the Al Jazeera Media Network, confirmed it on Monday to The Intercept. The goal of the British complaint may partly have been to delay publication of the follow-up American version, he said. “At the very same time [as the London investigation]–and we can safely reveal this now–we had an undercover operative working in tandem in Washington, DC. With this UK verdict and vindication past us, we can soon reveal how the Israel lobby in America works through the eyes of an undercover reporter,” he said.

The four-part series “The Lobby” dug into the Israeli embassy in London, as well as several other pro-Israel lobby groups, and their campaign to “take down” British Foreign Office Minister Sir Alan Duncan.

The investigation led to the resignation of a top Israeli official in London, as well as a high-profile complaint that Al Jazeera had broken broadcasting regulations in the United Kingdom. One of the complaints charged the investigation with anti-Semitism, but the government board ruled that imputing such a motive to a film critical of Israel would be akin to calling a series on gang violence racist.

Britain To Criminalize Reading Online Extremist Content

Stephen Lendman

Like America, Britain is unfit and unsafe to live in – both countries police states, serving privileged interests exclusively, allied in waging wars OF terror in multiple theaters, along with abolishing fundamental homeland freedoms.

The latest civil rights abuse came from hardline home secretary Amber Rudd.

She’s spearheading a Tory effort to criminalize readership of so-called extremist content online – punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

The same holds for anyone publishing content Tories call extremist, especially about Britain’s military, intelligence services and police that could be considered related to preparing terrorist acts.
“I want to make sure those who view despicable terrorist content online, including jihadi websites, far-right propaganda and bomb-making instructions, face the full force of the law,” Rudd blustered, adding:

“There is currently a gap in the law around material (that) is viewed or streamed from the Internet without being permanently downloaded.”

“This is an increasingly common means by which material is accessed online for criminal purposes and is a particularly prevalent means of viewing extremist material such as videos and web pages.”
A Home Office analysis showed thousands of online ISIS tweets and other material over the past year.

The Las Vegas Massacre and Occam's Razor

Niall Bradley and Joe Quinn

With 59 people dead and over 500 injured, last Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas was the 'worst-ever' for the US, beating the previous record death toll set at an Orlando gay nightclub all the way back in June 2016. Just as folks had been remarking how long it had been since a (major) mass shooting in the US of A...

The official story is that this brazen massacre on October 1st was solely the work of a wealthy 64-year-old white American retiree, Stephen C. Paddock, resident of Mesquite, Nevada, with numerous other properties around the country, and frequent-visitor to 'Sin City'. With no apparent motive, Paddock single-handedly acquired an arsenal of heavy guns and thousands of rounds of ammo and shot up a country music festival at The Village open-air concert venue on the southern end of the Las Vegas 'strip', all from two broken windows in suite 135 of the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Hotel and Casino.

Despite an early claim by 'ISIS', courtesy of Rita Katz's dodgy SITE Intelligence outfit, that Paddock 'saw the light' a few weeks back, turned his back on the finer delights Vegas has to offer, and became "a soldier of the Caliphate", investigators have since reported that there are no credible links between him and international terrorism. Sadly, no one will ever get the chance to ask Paddock about his motives or if he had any accomplices because by the time Las Vegas PD broke down the doorway to suite 135 at 11:20pm, Paddock had already eaten a bullet. Why he would kill himself after setting up an elaborate camera system to warn him of security personnel approaching his suite is left unexplained. Why would he kill himself after wiring $100,000 to the Philippines, where his girlfriend was waiting for him? Today, Las Vegas Sheriff Lombardo gave another press conference where he stated that there was evidence that Paddock planned to escape, but could not publicly provide the evidence.

Paddock had no criminal record, no history of violence, no military experience, was "not an avid gun nut", had no particular religious or political views, and was not previously known to law enforcement. Nevertheless, authorities say, this is the man responsible for planning and conducting - at great personal expense, and requiring significant technical training and expertise - an operation in which he could fire off 1,000s of rounds from 23 "modified semi-automatic weapons", spraying the crowd below and, over the course of some 11-12 minutes, becoming America's Most Insane (Yet Disciplined) Mass Shooter. Ever.

Case closed? It is for the authorities, but many in the general public are not buying it, and for good reason.

From Syria to Burma?
Thierry Meyssan

The Pentagon is preparing a new war in South East Asia - this time against Myanmar. Till now, the jihadists in Syria, which have the support of several countries that form part of the Middle East, have been waging war between themselves. But now they have a new vision: fighting together with the Pentagon against the Burmese army and the Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize Aung San Suu Kyi.

Since 2001, the United States has been systematically destroying the whole of the expanded Middle East. For some days now, it has been preparing a new war against Iraq and Syria. Its conduit? The Kurds of the Barzani and Muslim families.

It seems that all of a sudden, the US has been struck by a new vision: Burma as the new theatre of operation. In this case, all the jihadists plus several countries in the region would be mobilized to go to fight in South East Asia.

For a month now, the international press has been denouncing the plight of the Rohingyas and have been presenting Burma as some sort of hell, using just as many lies as it did to savage Syria.

While in 2013 Saudi Arabia had prepared an army in Jordan and funded jihadists in Syria, it had also created in Mecca, “the Movement for Faith” which then became the “Army for the Safety of the Rohingyas in Arakan”. Just as it did in Syria, it blended a toxic cocktail of authentic Burmese with the floating mercenaries that it habitually deploys all over world. Thus the leader of this group is a Pakistani who brought his arms to Bin Laden’s side when he was fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan.
